About Us

-
Wappingers CSD is one of the largest central school districts in New York; we serve approximately 10,500 students in an area covering 120 square miles. We take great pride in offering a wide array of coursework, opportunities, and preparation for students, whether they are ultimately college-bound, learning a trade, or entering the workforce.
Our District consists of ten elementary schools; two junior high schools; two senior high schools; and one alternative high school. Each has their own culture and community, while still being part of our larger WCSD family! Check out their individual websites here:John Jay High School

We are located in Dutchess County and a small part of Putnam County, which are both parts of the Greater Hudson Valley Region. Residents of our area enjoy a wide range of recreational and cultural activities--our towns offer great programs, too! New York City is about 90 minutes away.
